Today the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced that they have closed a deal with Netflix on producing documentaries, documentary-series and feature films for the streaming network giant. Netflix has more than 190 million subscribers worldwide. The power couple will thus expand their influence even further.

According to Harry (35) and Meghan (39), the aim is to produce uplifting and inspiring content, especially targeting young families like themselves.

“Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us.”

Netflix’s chief content officer, Ted Sarandos, announced today that he is incredibly proud that Meghan and Harry have chosen Netflix as their creative hub. This step is one of many steps lately to up their game in promoting fairness and equality. The couple has been busy reaching out and helping local LA charities and interviewing women’s rights activist Gloria Steinem as of late.

While Harry’s brother Prince William (38) and his wife Kate (38) and their three children are still in their country home at Anmer Hall in Norfolk self-isolating, he and Meghan are quite active and hands-on with their public engagements. At the beginning of the week they were seen getting their hands dirty planting flowers with children in a LA preschool.
