The royal birthday calendar for 2021 – for free!

Date

I am four months into blogging now and am very grateful for the yet tiny but very loyal community that comes back to visit this site. This means a great deal to me since it shows me your support and keeps me going in what I really love: writing about royals! Thank you so much! Naturally, I wanted to give you something back and show you my gratitude.

With the new year in sight, I thought a royal birthday calendar might be a very nice present to you. In this calendar, I compiled all the birthdays of the members of the European royal houses. The calendar consists of one page only, which means there won’t be any skimming through endless pages to find the birthdays of your favorite royals. Also, you can very easily print the calendar and even frame it and give it to another royal fan as a present for the new year. It’s all your choice! Just scroll down and read some of the highlights that await us in 2021 to find the new calendar. Hope you like it.

Here an inspiration of how your framed calendar could look like. The calendar in the image is a sample image. The real calendar is below.

Top 3 landmark birthdays

Number 1

  1. Well, the undisputed number one on this list certainly is Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. Queen Elizabeth’s II. husband will be turning 100 next year on June 10!

The palace hasn’t announced any concrete plans as to how they will mark this important royal event. This is because no one really knows as for now how the corona pandemic will unfold. With the vaccinations having started in the UK, there might be a chance that Philip’s big day will be marked as such. We expect nothing short of lots of flag waving, concerts and elaborate documentaries on his spectacular life – if, of course, the circumstances allow for it. From what we know about Prince Philip himself, he prefers a rather modest get together without the big hoopla that had accompanied him for so often and long in his life. In 2017, after 70 years of public service to the Crown, he retired and has lived a very secluded life ever since. Cheers Prince Philip!

Number 2

Number 2 will go to three royals who will be turning 40 next year:

  • Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex
  • Zara Tindall
  • Prince Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duke of Liechtenstein

Zara Tindall and Prince Guillaume respectively have even more to celebrate than their birthdays:

Zara Tindall is currently expecting her third child. After two miscarriages, she and her husband Mike are more than thrilled to welcome the latest addition to their family. As for the due date, Mike just said that this time they are keeping their cards close to their chests. Well, it’ll be a surprise then 🙂

Prince Guillaume for his part is still over the moon over his long-awaited heir Prince Charles, who was born this year. He and his wife Princess Stéphanie have tried for eight years to have their first child. Congratulations!

Number 3

The third place goes to Queen Elizabeth II. who will be turning 95 next year.

As with Prince Philip’s birthday, it is unclear whether there will be any special celebrations to mark her birthday. But what is clear is that the Queen’s official birthday parade “Trooping the Color” will definitely take place – like it did this year. Even though the Queen’s actual birthday is April 21, she traditionally celebrates her birthday on every second Saturday of June – because the weather is better then.
