Today it has been revealed that Meghan and Harry will be seen on Netflix in a fly-on-the-wall reality series that will portray their charitable works over a period of three months . Fans of the royal couple are amazed by this step as it must have sent shockwaves down the British royal family in London. Their announcement to appear on Netflix comes just after they let the world know about the mega deal the power couple has signed with Netflix two weeks ago. Meghan and Harry sure don’t waste any time to up the game!

So, what does this latest revelation mean in the context of the royal rift between Harry and Meghan on the one side and the British royal family on the other side? It is quite obvious that with appearing on a reality series this means that it is a nightmare come true for the British royal family. Never before has a royal been seen on a format that sheds so much light on the intricacies of royal life. Queen Elizabeth II. (94) made sure to not let that happen since this light might destroy the magic aura she has worked so hard her life to preserve. She only once let cameras near her family back in the sixties to portray her family. They now live in Santa Barbara together with their baby son Archie (1) and have ever since made many public outings, in which they supported local and international charities.

To royal onlookers this whole activity looks like they are putting William and Kate under pressure. The Sussexes, as Meghan and Harry are also known, have been quite busy during lockdown with taking part in video calls and stepping out meeting people while carefully observing the hygiene rules. William and Kate, however, have faced criticism for not engaging more and sheltering in their spacious countryside home in Anmer Hall only appearing once in a while in short video calls. A documentary now that covers Meghan and Harry’s busy charitable work would surely make people compare the both couples and lead to the conclusion that William and Kate might not be doing enough.

One thing is for sure, the Sussexes didn’t settle for the US to lead a quiet and secluded life. They are busy building their brand and thus widening the gap between them and the royal family. The atmosphere is tense and any attempts to reconcile in the near future are off the table for now.
